One step better

Amma was worried about me crying whenever she leaves me at kindergarten.

Now, things have improved.. when she leaves me, I won’t cry...

I will cry only when appa sends me to school.

Don’t ask me why.. coz’ I don’t know. Hehehe...

Trip to the bird park

Needless to say, this is another fun outing with taatha and ammachi to the KL bird park :)

2009.02

Countdown ...3, ...2, ...1 and attack!

I waited patiently until they had finished singing the song, had the chance to blow off my own candles (unlike anna who had to share), and then I attacked the cake.. rigth in the middle!

Just can't tell you how long I had to wait for my chance to do that! ;)

Up, up and away!

Amma has been talking about our trip to India and that we will be going there on an aeroplane. I didn’t feel the excitement until the day actually arrived. Amms just called me once, and I was up the very next second!

It’s always us sending amma off at the airport. But this time, we were going to fly off ourselves! We were excited to be able to drag our own trolley bag too.. Amma packed anna and I some snacks, activity book with colour pencils in our trolley bags. Chella thambhi was excited with our bag, and he was trying to drag the bag around!

We had a memorable trip to India. Check out amms Essence of Love for more stories and pictures.

My first day

Monkeying around?

We were at taatha’s house, just after maama’s birthday dinner.

I was playing with anna... he was on the reclining chair while I was behind the chair. Suddenly, the chair slanted to the back and smashed me on to the sliding glass door behind me. Trying to protect myself, I pressed my elbow.. either on the glass door or the floor. Naturally, I started crying. Everyone thought it was just a normal accident.. and tried to quite me down.

As apps was driving home, I kept telling apps not to drive fast.. as the movement of the car is causing more pain. Only then, did apps and amms think that the injury may be more than just a bang!

Apps and amms took a long time to carry me from the car into the house. Any movement caused pain, and I screamed! Finally, amms pushed a card board under my arm so that the arm could rest on it while apps try to carry me out. With a lot of struggle, they succeeded. to make I could not sleep well that night.. coz’ of the pain.

The next morning, they brought me to the hospital. Again, they had difficulty in carrying me into the car. But since I was already having a grip bandage on my arm, it was not as painful as the night before.

After being wheeled into the emergency room on a wheel chair (I liked that ;) the doctor asked me to get an X-ray done. Thereafter, he referred me to an orthopedic surgeon (OS), for a second opinion. After a long wait, the OS checked my arm and said there might be a hairline crack and there is a visible bump on the bone. He put a cast on my hand, and said it will take a few minutes and I should be up and about in no time. Guess what? He was right! After that, I couldn’t even tell that I had hurt my arm…

After two weeks, just before Christmas, I re-visited the OS, and he said the injury has healed, and I can be off the cast. Yippeee!
